Three seasons, four gatherings. Two cabins deep in Ontario forest. Five to seven women at a time, remembering what they are. Photography, ritual, rest and sisterhood — held for four days behind a door that closes on the rest of the world.
Coven Cottage is not a conference with candles. It is a small, deliberate gathering — a cabin in the Ontario woods, a fire that stays lit, and a table that holds everyone who is meant to be there. Three times a year, in two different forests.
Each weekend blends a professionally styled photoshoot with grounding ritual, nourishing food, sound healing, and long unhurried hours with women who arrive as strangers and leave as something else. You are photographed the way you have always suspected you look.

Fall. Harvest, transformation, and the thinning veil at Samhain. Woodsmoke, mulled everything, and the year's most theatrical photoshoot.

Winter. Stillness, warmth, and the deep quiet of a snowed-in cabin. The most reflective of the three — long fires and longer conversations.

Spring. Renewal, softness and becoming. Green things pushing up through the dark — and so are you.
A one-on-one session with custom-built magical sets, shot and edited by an internationally published photographer — plus a group portrait with your coven.
Three nights in a cavernous, warm cabin in the woods. Linens, towels and firelight, with a hot tub at the winter and spring gatherings. Rooms shared with women who won't be strangers by Friday.
Every meal, every elixir, every late-night snack — prepared with intention. Dietary needs met without fuss by our kitchen witch.
Sound bath, moon circle, energy alignment, astrology and human design readings, herb craft and spell work — recorded in your own retreat grimoire.
Professional hair and makeup before your shoot. You will not be doing your own eyeliner in a bathroom mirror this weekend.
A curated gift bag, crystals chosen for your energy, handcrafted ritual tools — and the images, which arrive after the veil closes.
“I've done the retreat every year since it started and plan on attending it forever.”
— Mandi, returning coven sister
Five practitioners, each holding a different thread — photography, frequency, energy, the green world, and glamour. Together they run a weekend that feels effortless because it isn't.

Autumn gathers in Chesley — twenty acres of private forest about two hours from Hamilton, with a barn, a fire pit, a pond. Winter and spring gather in Gooderham — eight acres of moonlit glades and forest trails about two hours from Toronto, around a log cabin with an outdoor fire and a hot tub under the trees.
At both, custom sets are built across the property through the weekend, so the woods themselves become the studio.
Andrea reads and answers every message herself. There is no wrong question, and nobody is added to a list for asking one.
Everything is designed so you can honor your own rhythms. The schedule flows with the energy of the group — nothing here is compulsory except dinner.
